  • 3/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 cups chocolate chips semi-sweet
Frosting
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Decoration
  • 1/2 cup sprinkles for topping

Method
 

Prepare the Cookie Cake
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Spread the cookie dough evenly onto the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the cookie cake to cool completely on a wire rack.
Prepare the Frosting
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy.
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar, alternating with the heavy cream, and beat until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Assemble the Cake
  1. Once the cookie cake is completely cooled, spread the frosting evenly over the top.
  2. Sprinkle the top with colorful sprinkles for decoration.
