Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar adjust based on sweetness preference
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Topping
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine blueberries, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Toss gently to coat the blueberries evenly.
Prepare the Topping
  1. In another bowl, mix oats, flour, brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, and salt until crumbly.
Assemble and Bake
  1. Spread the blueberry mixture in a baking dish. Evenly sprinkle the oat topping over the blueberries.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the blueberries are bubbling.
Serve
  1. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.
