Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup water adjust as needed
  • 1 cup vegetable oil for frying

Method
 

Prepare the Dough
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Gradually add water and mix until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
  4. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Fry the Bread
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  2. Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces and roll each piece into a flat circle about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Carefully place the rolled dough into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Remove the fry bread with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
