Peach Cobbler Using Pie Crust

Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced peeled and pitted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar adjust based on sweetness of peaches
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour for thickening
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon optional
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice to enhance flavor
Crust
  • 1 package pre-made pie crust or homemade if preferred
  • 1 tablespoon butter for dotting on top

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine sliced peaches, sugar, flour, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Toss until well coated.
Assemble the Cobbler
  1. Place one pie crust in the bottom of the pie dish and fill with the peach mixture.
  2. Dot the top with small pieces of butter.
  3. Cover with the second pie crust, sealing the edges. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
Bake
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  2. Let cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.
