Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 2 cans canned peaches drained
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Topping
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained canned peaches, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Mix well and set aside.
Make the Topping
  1. In another bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add the milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Assemble and Bake
  1. Pour the peach mixture into a greased 9x9 inch baking dish.
  2. Spoon the topping mixture over the peaches evenly.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown.
  4. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
