Base Ingredients
  • 2 cups heavy cream Chilled
  • 1 cup whole milk Chilled
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Prepare the Ice Cream Base
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours or overnight to chill.
Churn the Ice Cream
  1. Once the mixture is chilled, pour it into the Cuisinart ice cream maker.
  2. Turn on the machine and churn for about 20-25 minutes, or until the ice cream thickens and has a soft-serve consistency.
Freeze the Ice Cream
  1. Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours to firm up.
  2. Scoop and serve the ice cream once it reaches the desired consistency.
