  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Prepare the Ice Cream Base
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight to chill.
Churn the Ice Cream
  1. Pour the chilled mixture into the ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions, usually about 20-25 minutes.
  2. Once the ice cream reaches a soft-serve consistency, transfer it to an airtight container.
Freeze and Serve
  1. Freeze the ice cream for at least 2 hours to firm up before serving.
  2. Scoop and serve in bowls or cones, and enjoy!
